Making a payment with Foremost: FAQ for one-time payments

How do I input my policy number?

Enter your 13-digit policy number with no hyphen. Example: If your policy number is 123-0123456789-XX, you should enter 1230123456789. Your policy number is located on both your Declarations page and your Billing documents.

What do I enter in the ZIP Code field?

Enter the first 5 digits of your mailing ZIP Code. You may also enter the unit's ZIP Code instead. If your ZIP Code is outside of the United States or Canada, enter the location ZIP Code of the unit's address.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept payments from checking and savings accounts, as well as Visa®, Mastercard®, Discover® and American Express® payment cards.

Is it possible for me to authorize an electronic payment for more than one policy?

Yes, but each payment needs to be submitted separately. Please note: - Bills are separate for each policy, and each bill has a separate due date. - When you make a payment on a policy, the payment gets applied to the oldest invoice of that policy.

How secure is my payment and personal information?

Your payment and personal information is securely transmitted using TLS encrypted protocols when it travels over the Internet. Transaction information is audited, encrypted and archived in a manner that meets or exceeds the standards defined by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and industry best practices.

What is the cut-off for posting a payment?

Any payment submitted after 7:00 PM Central Time will be considered received the following business day.

How quickly will my payment be applied to my policy?

Please allow 3-5 business days for your policy to reflect the payment.

Will you send me a confirmation of my payment?

Yes, in addition to the confirmation number appearing onscreen, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided.

Can I make an online payment if my policy is canceled?

Making an online payment will not reinstate coverage on a canceled policy. For assistance, please contact your insurance representative.

How do I change or stop a one-time payment I've submitted, or ask general questions about my bill?

Submitted payments will need to be stopped / voided prior to 6:30 PM Central Time the day the payment was made. Please call the Foremost Billing Department at 1-800-532-4221 Monday - Friday between 8 AM - 7 PM Central Time for assistance, and to answer general questions about your bill.
